After working on my Pegasus Ship to Surface Transport, I found my unarmed ship frequently attacked, and considering that this ship is my first multi-environment vehicles, with none of my fighters currently available to operate in atmosphere, Iv been reworking one of my existing fighters to function in space and on the planets surface. Since the change completely redesigns the fuselage and propulsion of the F3 Kestrel, I feel its necessary to give it a new designation. So im introducing the F4 Phoenix.
The name ties in with the mythological theme alongside Pegasus, the ship has been completely refitted with a Hydrogen system, hence the bulge in the fuselage to accommodate the hydrogen tank, despite this interceptor being beefed up and now closely resembles Pegasus, iv reworked the Phoenix's layout so not that much weight is gained, it can be possible to find a way to fit an extra Hydrogen tank to extend its range, but that means modifying the fuselage once again.
Its fully competent in atmosphere and in space, in fact is performance is greater than its predecessor "Kestrel"
